Meet Dr. Kyle
Chiropractor. Performance Rehab Specialist. Strength-Based Clinician.
Dr. Kyle works with adults over 40 who refuse to give up lifting because of knee or back pain.
Too often, active adults are told their pain is “just part of aging” or that they should stop training altogether. Dr. Kyle strongly disagrees.
As a strength athlete himself, he understands the physical and mental impact of being sidelined. More importantly, his background in biomechanics and chiropractic medicine allows him to help lifters continue training safely and intelligently without relying on endless passive treatments or being told to avoid the gym.
After earning his bachelor’s and Master’s degree in biomechanics from Illinois State University, he completed his Doctorate of Chiropractic at National University of Health Sciences. His education focused on how the body adapts to load and how to apply that principle to rebuild strength after injury.
Dr. Kyle believes that pain does not automatically mean damage, and aging does not mean decline. The body remains adaptable well past 40 if given the right stimulus.
His approach emphasizes:
Smart loading instead of prolonged rest
Strength progression instead of generic rehab
Education so patients understand their bodies and stay independent
The goal is not just to reduce pain. It is to help you keep active for decades.
Meet Dr. Tyler
Co-Founder of Functional Effect. Chiropractor. Performance Rehab Specialist
As the co-founder of Functional Effect Fitness, Dr. Tyler Reynolds has always been driven by a profound desire to help others achieve optimal health. His journey into the world of healthcare was shaped by a poignant realization stemming from his father’s role as a pharmacist: the staggering volume of medications prescribed for conditions that could be significantly improved through healthier living. Motivated to be part of a movement that educates people on avoiding this path, Tyler embarked on the path to becoming a Chiropractor.
Tyler’s educational journey began with a degree in Exercise Sport Science and Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. However, he didn’t stop there. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National University of Health and Sciences, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to holistic healthcare.
With a dedication to excellence, Tyler has completed over 250+ hours of post-graduate studies in Functional Rehabilitation, specializing in shoulder dysfunction. He is also certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment. Dr. Reynolds is not just a chiropractor; he’s a sought-after practitioner and coach for throwing athletes, working with everyone from youth to collegiate athletes, infusing a holistic approach into his treatment and training.
Becoming a Chiropractor provided Tyler with the unique opportunity to merge medicine with fitness, creating an environment where patients can achieve optimal overall health while reaching their fitness goals. He takes pride in crafting personalized treatment plans for each patient, seamlessly integrating various disciplines such as chiropractic care, oriental medicine, corrective exercise, sports nutrition, and strength and conditioning. His dedication to ongoing learning ensures that he continually adds new techniques to his arsenal, enhancing the patient experience.
At the heart of Dr. Reynolds’ philosophy lies the powerful mantra, “Movement is Medicine.” He firmly believes that when an individual ceases to move, so do their bodily fluids, leading to stagnation and dysfunction. For him, movement is synonymous with life itself.
Join Dr. Tyler Reynolds on a transformative healthcare journey where movement, vitality, and holistic wellness are the cornerstones of your experience. At Functional Effect, we’re committed to redefining what it means to live a healthy, active life.
